Objectives

Open Web™ is an innovative new recruiting platform that uniquely combines the benefits of social recruiting and data analysis. It meticulously scours over 130 of the top social and professional networks, expanding human resources professionals', recruiters' and sourcing professionals' reach to 100 million of candidates who frequent popular hangouts. Open Web then pulls out the key details to build a unique "super" profile of the passive candidates on the recruiter's radar. Each profile paints a multilayer picture including passions and interests — giving the advantage of personalizing communication. Once the recruiter has found the right candidate, Open Web offers many ways to make a meaningful connection and the opportunity to show why their company is the ultimate fit. Because it is easy to use and more robust, effective and efficient, industry leaders are using Open Web as their go-to tool for finding top tech talent. It brings the world's tech talent to their fingertips — in seconds.

Open Web has also been leveraged into a mobile app, Dice Recruiter, to facilitate recruiting on-the-go. Dice Recruiter helps recruiters source the best tech talent anytime, anywhere and across any iOS device — even tech professionals who aren't actively looking for a new job.

Open Web allows recruiters to:

Strategy and Execution

The data explosion is changing the way tech talent is recruited. Tech pros — especially passive candidates — expect a targeted, personal touch. Before Open Web, tech recruiters had to personally spend hours finding and filtering through the right data. Open Web by Dice is redefining tech recruiting by addressing the need for a personal, meaningful approach. Open Web leverages the publicly available data across billions of web pages and 130 social networks — and, in a few seconds, organizes it into one, unified profile including the candidate's professional experience, contributions, history and capabilities, passions and interests. Recruiters can communicate with candidates on the social media sites that they're most active on, and provide a unique and engaging experience based on the data from their profile. In short, recruiters can deliver better social media content to target the top tech professionals on their radar

Open Web™ uses Dice's big data regarding the tech industry that no other company has access to. Dice provides users access to the largest database of high quality tech talent that could not be found anywhere else on the web. In the U.S. tech space, Dice has email addresses for approximately 80% of all candidates and phone numbers for 25% of them. In fact, approximately 40% of our 5,000,000+ tech profiles are integrated with a Dice resume.

Every month, more than one million tech pros network, explore, and even apply to jobs on Dice. Although 43% of job seekers use mobile in their job search, 59% of recruiters invest nothing in mobile career sites. With Dice Recruiter, recruiters get the complete, 360-view on these candidates from Open Web to their mobile device. Recruiters everywhere have reinvented their recruiting strategies with the use of Open Web and Dice Recruiter.

Open Web was launched out of beta in January 2014. At the end of 2014, there were over 700 active paying customers of Open Web. Current Open Web customers include: Amazon, HP, Facebook, Cisco, Adobe, Orbitz, Concur, Blue Shield of California, EMC2, Dell, Deloitte, and Pier 1 Imports. Here are some of their amazing results using Open Web and Dice Recruiter:

Melissa Cardiff, Business Development Manager and Senior Technical Recruiter at Harvey Nash USA, is recruiting faster and more efficiently. She's discovering new ways to access more unique candidates, and getting record-breaking response rates. "I like Open Web so much. I'd like to thank the guy who created it. It's genius", says Melissa. "We've added 50% more tech candidates to our pipeline with Open Web."

According to Steve White, "You can't create time. But you can maximize it. Open Web allows just that. Open Web has saved 45 percent of my time." Steve, a Talent Acquisition Manager at Pier 1, is finding candidates that don't surface on job boards. He's reducing his time to hire, and making more proactive hires by pipelining his talent.

"Open Web is putting the human touch back into recruiting. If you aren't using it, you're missing out", says Jennifer Valenti, Internal Recruiter at a New York tech startup. Jennifer's getting a glimpse of the total candidate before she reaches out. This personal approach lets her connect with candidates on a whole new level, and in return, tech pros are actually referring candidates to her. "We saw a 25% uptick in candidate quality and added 75% more tech talent to our pipeline."

Sara Fleischman, a Senior Technical Recruiter at Concur, is building Concur's brand and sharing the company's unique story. She's providing a better experience and boosting referrals. "Open Web helps us reach an audience that wouldn't otherwise know who we are", Sara says. "87% increase in new hires and 30% decrease in cost-per-hire."

Michael Nelms, Senior Recruiter at The Lawton Group, says "With Open Web, we accomplished what none of the other agencies were able to do." Michael is serving up fresh, new candidates, engaging tech pros on sites where they actually hang out, and becoming their "go-to" recruiter, boosting his credibility.

According to a Dice survey of tech professionals, 68% said they would love to have the recruiters understand better how their skills and experience fit the company. The Open Web platform, and its mobile companion Dice Recruiter, allow recruiters to get a more complete view of their candidates, and deliver more direct, immediate, and personal messages to engage them. Recruiters need to match the behavior of tech pros. They need to start their conversations with tech pros in real-time – and in context. With Open Web and Dice Recruiter, they can do just that.
