To relaunch the sixth installment of the iconic Final Destination franchise, we aimed to reimagine the chaos for a new generation of viewers.
While the protagonists face the same life-threatening circumstances as the previous films, our goal was to invite the new generation of viewers through a medium they knew best: social.
Our interactive creative prompted users to turn their phones as the video followed suit, taking the viewers on the journey of chaos and survival through the film’s gravity-defying penny scene. The penny lore ties back to the original film, connecting the coin to the bad luck the characters experienced; one little penny can cause a chain reaction of death.
The video drew in almost a million views and over 65,000 likes on Tik Tok, while almost 200 comments filled up the Instagram post.
