Coinciding with the NFL Honors ceremony, NFL released a social video commending the winner of the 2025 AP NFL Most Valuable Player to deepen fan engagement with the annual celebration.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was named the 2025 NFL Most Valuable Player at the 2026 NFL Honors ceremony held on February 5, 2026. At age 37, Stafford became the oldest player in league history to win his first MVP award. In the social video, NFL captured his reaction to his four daughters listing all of his accomplishments as MVP (and as Most Valuable Dad).
Stafford capped off his record-breaking season by announcing during his acceptance speech that he will return for the 2026 NFL season, ending months of retirement speculation.
