Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared special moments with Make-A-Wish kids. Dwyane meet with Elise, Ghazi, Patrick, Zachary and Thomas in Honolulu, HI while on press tour for Moana 2.
Dwayne also invited them to join him at the Moana 2 world premiere, where each wish recipient, in turn, surprised Dwayne with a lei which signifies a profound gesture of aloha, love, honor, respect, and friendship.
Wish recipients and their families were flown out to Honolulu to meet with Dwayne. There they gathered for a lovely afternoon at Disney’s Aulani resort, where they exchanged hugs, gifts and heartfelt anecdotes.
The evening then continued at the Moana 2 world premiere, were the kids and their guest were able to enjoy the premiere under the night sky.
Dwayne has had a strong, longstanding partnership with Make-A-Wish spanning more than 20 years, during which he has granted a total of 199 wishes.
His connection to the foundation dates back decades to 1983, when he accompanied his father, Rocky Johnson, to help grant a wish, becoming the first-ever wish granter in the state of New Jersey.
Success was defined by real life connection. Although, success here was never based on assets performance. Asset and other cutdown material, did reach close to 20 million impressions across all platforms.
