What could possibly be bigger in 2024 pop culture zeitgeist than Ariana Grande and Wicked?: a recreation of the 2018 viral "Wicked Witch of the East Bro" video with Jimmy and Ariana arguing over whether Glinda is a princess or not.
We knew when Ariana Grande was booked to come on the show to promote Wicked that we had to do something fun and creative with her that showcased the fans' love for the original broadway show, while nodding to the excitement around the new movie. We filmed a shot for shot remake of the viral internet meme minutes before the cameras started rolling for the show. Within hours the video was out across all of our social channels, not only bringing in a massive amount of views online, but widespread awareness for all of the brands involved (Wicked, The Tonight Show, Universal Pictures, etc.).
The video was an instant viral phenomenon, with of 64 million total views and counting.
