To help create an event with the launch of Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie to set the Guinness World Record for most dogs attending a film screening!
The main goal was to break the Guiness Record. This idea created a huge opportunity for the film to get families out not just with their kids but with the K-9 kids as well. The benefit/genesis of the idea was to find something that helped get parents as excited as their kids to see the film. To expand the audience and appeal beyond kids and create a news story.
Bringing this project to life was not without challenges and hurdles to overcome. The first was finding an outdoor location that was big enough for more than 1K humans and 200 K-9's to watch a movie. The plan of action started there, picking the location as well as creating the ability to have an outdoor theater for humans and dogs to be comfortable. We did a deep dive into the best means to keep dogs safe outside in the heat of September in Los Angeles. To do that we partnered with Best Friends Pets to advise how to have the dogs safe and how many people per dog were required to look over them. Additinally, we had to figure out how to make sure we followed all the steps to break the record and have the Guiness Adjudicator on site to officiate the recod! We definitely consider this to be a success because the record was broken and certified by Guiness. A lot of social engagement was generated as well as attention in the public and media.
