Teen Wolf at San Diego Comic Con

Teen Wolf historically dominates San Diego Comic Con, and the 2022 panel was up to par. We set out to bring the experience to fans across the globe via all Teen Wolf social platforms: Twitter, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. We published Instagram Stories throughout the day and held a consistent publishing cadence across all platforms. Our goal was to launch the first official teaser trailer to fans with massive return in social numbers and reignite the social fandom surrounding the franchise. We also announced Sarah Michelle Gellar's involvement with Jeff Davis's new series Wolf Pack -- she surprised fans during the Teen Wolf: The Movie panel at SDCC, which set social ablaze.

Strategy and Execution

We were on the ground at the event and followed along with talent throughout their press day and panel. We incorporated Tyler Posey into the day to guide fans and take them along on Teen Wolf's social accounts and bring the SDCC experience to life through Instagram Stories in real-time. As soon as the trailer dropped during the panel, we blasted it out across social so that fans in the panel room and out in the world would view at the same time. Of course, with a Hall H panel at SDCC, wifi was an issue! But we managed to not only drop the trailer on all platforms, we live-tweeted the entire panel and truly brought the SDCC experience to life online.


The SDCC teaser launch and behind-the-scenes content from SDCC resulted in 29M views and 2.2M engagements across Teen Wolf, Wolf Pack, Paramount+ and MTV accounts publishing on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The trailer has been seen 13M times to date and growing by the minute!

In addition, there were over 54k mentions (with a spike of 14k mentions after the trailer drop) and overwhelmingly positive sentiment from fans. Teen Wolf (ranked #3), Allison and Sarah Michelle Gellar trended on an extremely busy day for news!

The breakout social accounts for Wolf Pack across Instagram, facebook, tiktok and twitter garnered over 8K followers in less than a day and the Teen Wolf show handles gained 17k new followers.
