TRT World’s Deep Dive takes a deeper look at important topics and issues that shape our world.

The show aims to unpack these subjects paying close attention to nuance, context, and detail. Graphics and animation are used alongside important historical and present archive material to give the audience a clearer sense of the story we are unpacking and to give them a visual means to understand the events and narratives.

Strategy and Execution

The show has covered a wide range of topics including the resurgence of the Taliban, Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia, the challenges of big data, rising nationalism in India, racism and gun violence in the US.

The show leverages a digital format that manages the depth of a digital documentary in a social media-friendly format and length, that contextualizes and explains current news events and past context in an objective and engaging manner that appeals to our diverse audiences.



Deep Dive is now a successful original digital show at TRT World, having successfully provided a platform for stories, context, and journalism often overlooked in mainstream coverage of complex events.

The show continues to diversify by producing episodes that draws on a deep understanding of various regional demographics and the issues they prioritize most. Through a successful balance of deep audience insights, unique themes and deep stories, Deep Dive has grown into its own right as a digital journalism format that takes on subjects and stories others won't.
