You can't revolutionize the way humanity listens to music without a little help from the world's most talented tech professionals. So when Spotify wanted to attract highly-qualified candidates to join their team and celebrate the internal culture of working at one of the hottest companies in tech, they needed a content series that showed off their vast array of departments and the professionals that made them unique.

Why does this entry deserve to win?

That’s where How It’s Made came in. This series took fans, employees, and future hires behind the scenes at Spotify and gave them an inside look at how things come to life - showing off both the tech and the talent. The most popular video within the series was the introduction to the newest up-and-coming Spotify podcast feature - Anchor. 

The video took on a podcast-first approach by combining still photography with VO from the employees that actually created the product and hand-crafted animations and transitions combined with on-screen text.

Results

The Anchor video made a splash across social with over 50K views and 122K impressions in under 24 hours. The video's craft and execution was praised by fans and many were intrigued by the way Spotify was approaching the podcast platform.
