No one wins an Oscar alone. During the 2019 ceremony, we gave winners the chance to share this moment with a loved one backstage on their "first call." We captured these intimate, emotional exchanges on video.
Moments after accepting their Oscars, winners were invited to share their excitement with a loved one via Skype. We filmed each interview using a high frame rate to give us the flexibility to capture reactions, moments and details in unique ways. The end results were released across social media.
We released the final compilation video on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. It generated over 278,000 views and over 1.2M impressions.
