Objectives

The objectives and goals of creating the @StuAllard Twitter account were to develop a leading brand personality for KnowBe4 and to drive awareness of the need for security awareness training. Another goal was to drive up the subscription rates of the KnowBe4 blog that CEO Stu Sjouwerman writes and manages.

Strategy and Execution

Stu used a strategy of frequently posting cybersecurity information that his followers would find valuable. Some of the articles he posted were written by him and others were articles written by journalists from notable publications such as the Wall Street Journal. He posts interesting industry stats, stories and a scam of the week that's very popular.

Results

KnowBe4's CEO Stu Sjouwerman has built up a following of over 6,500. Many of his followers are experts in the cybersecurity industry as well as cybersecurity organizations. His blog has nearly 10,000 subscribers. Stu was also recently named one of the top 25 cybersecurity experts to follow on social media in 2019 by Cybersecurity Ventures.
