Chella Man emerged in 2018 as one of the best LGBTQ+ advocates on the internet, as the deaf, trans, artist known as Chella Man documented his entire transition on social media to his combined audience of nearly 500K. Launching his channel in an effort to empower and educate people about gender dysphoria, the model has become a forefront voice for equity and genderqueer activism. Becoming the first deaf trans model to sign with IMG in 2018, Chella was also named to the Out100 list by GLAAD. Further serving as a voice for the deaf community, “Professor Chella” offers YouTube sign language tutorials, encouraging fans to upload greeting videos and fingerspelling names in ASL.
