Archer, P.I. is an Augmented Reality app designed to interface directly with the TV show, allowing the player to literally grab an item from an episode and interact with it while immersed in rich secondary narrative that compliments developments in the show. The app seamlessly weaves animated video storylines with graphical hints while leveraging game mechanics to surprise and delight fans as they solve a new case for each episode of the show.
The Archer, P.I. Application let fans solve cases alongside Detective Sterling Archer. The multi-platform augmented reality app encouraged fans to interact with Archer: Dreamland on screen and with real world objects to win prizes and solve cases.
With the start of each episode, fans were offered new clues to find and collect in order to solve the case. Clues were discovered by pointing a phone or tablet's camera at a television, computer or real-world objects, activating animated experiences and collectible objects.
The hundreds of thousands of Archer, P.I. app downloads coupled with extensive engagement before, during and after the live airing of the linear show surpassed all our expectations. In addition, fans of the show used the app to explore AR-based animated experiences outside of the show including T-Shirts at Comic-Con and hidden activations.
