Objective

Our 3-part video series seeks to amplify the stories of resilience, innovation, and cultural preservation within historic Black churches. By showcasing the transformative work of [Program Name], we will highlight how these institutions are not only surviving but thriving, serving as pillars of their communities and repositories of rich cultural heritage. Our goal is to inspire viewers to recognize the vital role of historic Black churches in shaping our society and to support their continued preservation and revitalization.

Strategy

Strategy - Our approach was rooted in a deep understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the church within its community. Through extensive research, we explored its legacy, impact, and ongoing role in shaping the local landscape. This foundation provided a solid framework for crafting a narrative that resonated with both the community and a broader audience.

Engaging with key stakeholders, including the Action Fund project lead, church members, and restoration contractors, was instrumental in developing a comprehensive and nuanced story. By incorporating multiple perspectives, we captured the church's enduring legacy, its ongoing community influence, and the vision for its restored future.

Execution - One of the primary challenges we faced was distilling a wealth of information into a concise 6-minute film without compromising depth. To overcome this, we focused on the most compelling elements: the church's enduring legacy, its role in shaping the community, and the hope that the restoration symbolizes. Through careful editing and storytelling techniques, we ensured the film was both impactful and informative, resonating with the audience while honoring the church's significance.
