Born on São Miguel Island in the Azores, Portugal, Jose Neves has carved a niche as a Senior Art Director in NYC. Currently stationed at Forsman & Bodenfors, Jose's portfolio boasts collaborations with global giants like Goldman Sachs, Baileys Irish Cream, iRobot, and Seagram's 7, as well as impactful work with local entities like the Downtown Alliance and the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. His work for Baileys Chocolate has garnered accolades including Gold, Shortlist, and Audience Honors at the Shorty Awards, along with Finalist and Shortlist recognitions at the NY Festival Advertising Awards. His collaboration in the “Do You. Downtown” campaign, which revitalized Downtown Manhattan post-pandemic earned a shortlist nomination in the NYC Category at the NY Festival Advertising Awards. His efforts with Goldman Sachs have been honored with three Gold recognitions at the FCS Portfolio Awards, while his early work for Seagram’s 7 Crown Whiskey scored a nomination for the Advertising Media & PR Best Video at the Webby Awards. But beyond advertising, Jose's commitment to public art and community engagement shines through his curatorial work at the "Art of Soccer" exhibition at HG Contemporary Gallery in 2018, which explored the cultural and aesthetic dimensions of soccer. Notably, his Smoke Printer project received Best in Show at the Type Directors Club in 2017, marking a historic achievement previously unattained by a student since the club's inception in 1946.
