Amber Coleman-Mortley is the Senior Director of Community and Culture at The Female Quotient, an emerging media company specializing in viral content, virtual programming, and in-person Equality Lounge® events at global industry conferences. In her role, she supports the work to bring equality to the workplace by expanding the reach and connectivity of the five-million strong Female Quotient community. Amber produces and hosts The Female Quotient's LinkedIn Live community conversation series on Tuesdays at 12 PM ET, which engages timely topics through a culturally relevant and intersectional lens. She spent a little under a decade at iCivics, building a trusted consumer base on social media; expanding and diversifying the iCivics Educator Network; and establishing the Equity in Civics Youth Fellowship, where she bought students together from rural, urban, and suburban environments, resulting in a listening tour of over 5,000 student responses on how to make civics equitable and relatable to kids. A decorated three-sport varsity collegiate athlete, Amber continued her athletic passion as a P.E./Health teacher and varsity head coach at Sidwell Friends School for nine years. She holds a B.A. in African American Studies from Oberlin College and an M.A. from American University in Media Entrepreneurship. Amber covers civics, K12 education, edtech, and family life at Mom Of All Capes and her podcast with her daughters, Let’s K12 Better. She has been featured in the L.A. Times, NY Times, The Washington Post, Smithsonian Magazine, and various other broadcast, podcast, and online media outlets.
