This series that we called our "Trimester Series" was developed for the Ob-gyn clinic to provide patients with answers to some of their most commonly asked questions about their pregnancy. The series covers the three trimesters and the post-partum period which is sometimes called the "fourth trimester." We hoped that it would not only serve as content to send out via our patient newsletter and social media, but as a resource for patients and staff when seeking answers about pregnancy.
We began by identifying providers who would be comfortable on camera and be able to answer the questions provided by our social media followers. We polled our followers about 2-3 weeks prior to shooting the videos so that we could select 8-10 questions and give the providers enough time to look through them before the video shoot. The series was rolled out via social media, our patient newsletter, and blog posts, additionally, it was highlighted on the home page of the uthealthaustin.org website over the course of a year. Our creative lead and photographer videographer came up with a unique set design which was exactly the same for each video but painted in a different color each shoot to bring consistency, yet a unique color choice to each background.
We were thrilled with the series and the number of views the videos received over the course of the year. We have them listed under our patient resources for Women's Health and they continue to provide information for women seeking answers about their pregnancy. It is one of our more popular video series over the past year.
