Wine in My Closet

Objectives

My objective was to simply create a fun, over-the-top, hilarious animation with my original characters that would make people laugh. That is really my only goal when it comes to my work. I want to make people smile and I want to do unexpected things with my animations. 

Strategy and Execution

I used TVPaint animation in order to create this animation. All of my animations are hand-drawn, frame-by-frame. This is purely for my fun and to make people laugh.

I collaborated with my comedian and voice actor friend, Kevin James Thornton on this. He published this original audio on TikTok, which I downloaded (with permission) and I created the animation using his voiceover as my story guide. 

There was no real strategy other than using my creative instincts to create something amusing, unique, and funny. Kevin's audio informed my creative choices and inspired my storytelling. We make a great team!

Results

The results were astounding. I posted this animation on YouTube, TikTok, and other social media sites so that people could enjoy this animation with my characters, and Kevin's voice driving the story.

On YouTube, this video has 19 Million Views and counting. On TikTok, it has about 7 Million.

Overall, the response was overwhelmingly positive and people seemed to enjoy it. I have achieved my goal. My only mission is to bring joy to peoples' lives.
