When we set out to launch a brand presence on Tumblr, we embraced the fan behavior already present on the platform by showcasing love for the brand as reflected through the lens of popular culture. The HBO Tumblr relays how the cultural landscape digests, recapitulates, and renders HBO storytelling, reblogging and sharing the funniest parodies, most beautiful fan art and most fascinating think pieces that contribute to the cultural world of HBO. For the first time ever, HBO is acknowledging the contributions of its greatest fans and cultural thought-leaders by creating a platform to share remixes of our programming. It’s a unique, simple approach that honors the passion people have for our brand while staying true to what Tumblr is known for: sharing high-impact media.
