Tosin Balogun is a multi-disciplinary strategy leader and the current Strategy Director of WPP Media (SSA), passionate about how brands can win through the intersection of culture, creativity, and innovation. Tosin’s experience spans over a decade, during which he has led strategy and innovation teams across global advertising powerhouses like Dentsu, Publicis, Leo Burnett, and currently, WPP-Scangroup, Sub-Saharan Africa's largest marketing communication agency network. Over the last decade, Tosin has worked with some of Africa's most ambitious brands: Heineken, Uber, Netflix, YouTube, Pepsico, EABL, Standard Bank group, and CAF. Beyond his day-to-day role in shaping strategic direction for WPP’s roster of clients, Tosin is also a recognised thought leader and educator, shaping the next generation of marketing leaders. He has facilitated workshops on brand discovery and marketing strategy, featured on notable award platforms across Africa and Europe (MSK, DMA, Pitcher, Red Apple), a contributor in one of the UK's leading brand journals (Branding Mag), and is the co-founder of Brandversations Africa; a brand community where he spearheads conversations on marketing and brand building in Africa. Tosin’s passion extends beyond marketing and boardrooms. He is also an avid culture explorer, long-distance runner on a well-deserved break, cross-fit and amateur cyclist (with amazing streaks and badges on Strava), and an award-winning bathroom soloist.
