SeeMe Index

About

Asha Shivaji is redefining what it means to innovate in marketing effectiveness and ad tech. As a first-generation woman of color and former Google executive, she co-founded SeeMe Index in 2023 to fill a critical gap in the industry: the need for a transparent, data-driven way to measure brand inclusivity. With responsible AI at its core, SeeMe Index objectively evaluates how well brands represent diverse identities across advertising, products, and purpose—empowering both businesses and consumers to hold brands accountable. Before launching SeeMe Index, Asha led marketing strategy for Google’s Advanced Brand Acceleration Team, where she co-developed global initiatives with the UN’s Unstereotype Alliance to dismantle harmful stereotypes in media. Her career includes partnerships with iconic brands such as Apple, Disney, Moët Hennessy, Estée Lauder, and Johnson & Johnson, where she consistently modernized marketing strategies to resonate more deeply with today’s consumers. A sought-after speaker and advisor, Asha has shared her insights on AI, DEI, and the future of inclusive marketing at major forums including Cannes Lions, Advertising Week, CEW's 3rd and 4th Annual DE&I Forum and the California Society of Cosmetic Chemists. Asha is a 2025 Campaign US Inspiring Woman in the Championing Change category and made the 2025 Adage Tech Power list. She continues to serve as a consultant for the United Nations Unstereotype Alliance and is a vocal advocate for building ethical technology that reflects the richness of human experience. Asha holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from UCLA and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
