The 2025 World Series demanded more than a highlight reel.
Spanning a full seven games, the Dodgers vs. Blue Jays Fall Classic unfolded as a layered, momentum-shifting battle that built to a dramatic LA victory - the Dodgers’ second consecutive title. FOX Sports set out to capture not just the plays, but the escalating tension, key moments and emotional stakes that defined the series.
Our objective was to:
Rather than compress the Series into fragmented clips, we created a nearly 47-minute mini-movie that preserved the rising stakes, turning points, and ultimate Dodgers triumph. The goal was to present the Fall Classic as a complete story - one worthy of its dramatic finish.
The FOX MLB World Series Mini-Movie was designed as a digital-first film built around one central insight: a seven-game championship is inherently narrative.
Each game reshaped the stakes. Momentum shifted. Pressure intensified. With the Series extending to the full seven games, the storytelling opportunity expanded - culminating in a dramatic Dodgers victory that rewarded viewers who followed every twist.
Strategic Approach
Instead of producing a chronological recap, we structured the mini-movie around tension and escalation:
The long-form format was intentional. A seven-game Series cannot be reduced without losing complexity. The 47-minute runtime allowed for pacing, context and emotional layering that shorter formats cannot sustain.
Execution
This was not a replay package - it was a structured sports film that honored the full complexity of a championship decided in the final game.
The FOX MLB World Series Mini-Movie generated 2.4+ million views on YouTube, demonstrating sustained audience appetite for immersive, long-form sports storytelling.
Most importantly, the project achieved its objective: transforming a historic World Series and FOX Sports tentpole event - capped by the Dodgers securing their second straight title - into a lasting, story-driven digital experience.
