Joy is a creative marketing and communications executive working across nonprofit and private sectors. She currently serves as the Head of Communications & Marketing at The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) where she is building a best in class team and overseeing all comms, marketing, and brand efforts for the organization. In her nonprofit career, Joy also led the Comms & Brand team at Team Rubicon and currently serves on the Advisory Council of The Very Asian Foundation. Prior to moving into the impact space, Joy enjoyed a career of 10+ years in film and television publicity serving as Director of Worldwide Publicity for Sony Pictures Entertainment, working as an account lead across various PR agencies, and consulting on communication strategies for AAPI talent and activists. She holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Political Science and Mass Communications from UC Berkeley. She is currently based in Portland, OR.
