TYT’s mission is to drive positive change and it’s evident in the programming line-up featuring diverse voices, opinions, and formats. TYT strives to boldly pursue truth, challenge the establishment, and drive positive change.
Highlighting progressive voices, covering the stories that the mainstream media doesn’t, and speaking boldly about issues that matter. Everyday we produce content that informs our audience and provides insight to recognize the real issues behind each story.
As a network, TYT has over 500 million views a month. With this type of reach, TYT aims to highlight important stories, expose corruption, and give viewers the tools to drive positive change.
One example of this is Indisputable obtaining the exclusive to talk about the brutality experienced by Jarrett Hobbs at the hands of jail officials. On Indisputable with Dr. Rashad Richey, an exclusive video showed five jail officials brutalizing Jarrett Hobbs in a jail cell at the Camden County Jail in the City of New Brunswick, Georgia. Hobbs was arrested for driving under a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance. The 41-year-old was held in isolation about 15 days after the unprovoked attack. He did not receive medical attention and was charged with 9 counts of assault, battery and obstruction.
On The Young Turks, Ana Kasparian had an exclusive interview with the lawyer of the Sandy Hook parents, Mark Bankston. Bankston said that he chose to go on The Young Turks first after the Alex Jones defamation trial, “...to support independent progressive media.” Separately, Cenk Uygur and Ana interviewed the interviewed Alex Jones’ Ex-Wife and learned more about his lies and threats.
Those stories are just a snapshot of how TYT amplifies stories that promote change and give a voice to issues that are often ignored by the mainstream media.
