“Star Trek: Prodigy” is Paramount+’s adventurous animated addition to the “Star Trek” franchise, opening it up to audiences of all ages. The streaming series follows a crew of young aliens in the distant Delta Quadrant who discover an abandoned Federation starship, the U.S.S. Protostar. As they band together to become a crew, they work to travel across the galaxy and reach Alpha Quadrant, the home of Earth and Starfleet. The second part of the show’s inaugural season launched in late 2022.
To build excitement and buzz around the premiere of the second half of the show’s first season, Paramount+ needed to design an eye-catching Instagram story that teased some of the adventures that await our crew of galaxy-faring intrepid explorers.
“Star Trek” fans of all ages have come to expect a high standard when it comes to their beloved spacefaring adventures. To promote part B of the first season of “Star Trek Prodigy,” Paramount+ crafted a beautiful Instagram story featuring an animation with an infinite zoom effect.
The content of the Instagram story provides an inventive way for Paramount+ to reveal each of the titles for episodes 11-20 of the Children’s and Family Emmy Award-winning show. Along with the teased episode titles, the eye-catching animation also features original artwork that masterfully teases events that are set to take place over the course of the remainder of the season. The animation also features an epic accompanying musical score that is a perfect fit for the franchise.
With the Nickelodeon branding and a mesmerizing infinite zoom effect, Paramount+’s “Star Trek: Prodigy” animation is expertly presented to the show’s younger demographic while offering enough production value to appeal to older viewers and parents who may be fans of previous “Star Trek” fare.
