Clean Cooking Forum 2022

Entered in Event & Experiential

Objectives

With global leaders, advocates, policy makers, and consumers, the Clean Cooking Forum 2022 showcased the need – as well as the path forward – for mobilizing the necessary investment, innovations, partnerships, and policies to achieve clean cooking for all and accelerate progress toward global climate and development goals.

Strategy and Execution

Globally, one in three people rely on polluting stoves and fuels like wood and charcoal to cook their meals. The Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) works with a global network of partners to make clean cooking – that is, preparing food using cleaner, more modern stoves and fuels – accessible to all. In October 2022, CCA hosted the landmark Clean Cooking Forum in Ghana to convene global policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and other key partners from across the ecosystem to dramatically accelerate action on clean cooking.

Results

The Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) and the Government of Ghana welcomed more than 700 in-person attendees from over 60 countries to the global Clean Cooking Forum in Ghana from October 11-13. The landmark event, also watched by 2,500+ virtual attendees, drove millions of dollars in new commitments, multiple strategic partnerships, new research, and invaluable momentum toward accelerating access to clean cooking solutions.
