Now What? podcast came together out of a need in the technology space to have real, honest conversations about how business leaders are shifting to meet the needs of their teams and consumers today. Now What? focuses on the future of customer experience and business in a world that is becoming increasingly digital. Wix had never done a podcast like this before, and the production was done in-house with a very small but mighty team dedicated to sharing amazing stories with high-production value. Host and Executive Producer Rob Goodman was at Wix just a few months before the idea moved into development. Navigating the pandemic and telling stories of the moment certainly presented a challenge as the team at Wix collaborated like never before across web, social, email, acquisition, and partnerships to bring the series to market and reach new audiences.
With a brand new series in the market (for less than a year) and just 1 season under our belts, Now What? has achieved what is rare in the podcast space, a series that is connecting consistently with our audience. With nearly 80K downloads and an average of above 5K listens per episode, Now What? exceeded expectations for a brand new podcast series. According to LibSyn just 6% of podcasts receive over 5K downloads per episode. We’ve also seen Wix reach new audiences and conversations on social media, in part, thanks to our amazing guests from Red Antler, R/GA, Medium, The New York Times, WarnerMedia, GitHub, and more.
