Since 1985, God’s Love has cooked and home-delivered delicious, nutritious meals to New Yorkers living with severe and chronic illnesses. Because illness affects the entire family, they also provide meals to the children and senior caregivers of their clients. All meals are medically tailored to meet the specific needs of each client’s illnesses, treatments, and preferences, and all meals are FREE to clients and full of LOVE. At the height of the pandemic, God’s Love saw an increase in demand of 30% - and the need only continues to grow. This year they’ll deliver more than 2.6 million meals and serve over 10,000 New Yorkers. The growing need has been met enthusiastically thanks to the efforts of thousands of volunteers, staff, and other champions.
When God’s Love came to us looking for an exciting piece of content that both celebrated their work as well as encouraged new volunteers and donors, we knew that we needed to have some fun with it, so we reached out to Jane Krakowski, the human embodiment of “fun”, and created a piece with her that we feel succeeded perfectly.
The entire piece was filmed on location at the 9,600 sq. foot kitchen on the 2nd floor of The Michael Kors Building at God’s Love We Deliver in SoHo. The goal was to showcase God’s Love incredible facility and donors - yes, everyone in the piece that isn’t Jane Krakowski is either a donor or staff member at God’s Love. The video piece premiered to great acclaim at the 2021 Golden Heart Awards, God’s Love annual gala, and was shared online the next day.
God’s Love saw an immediate increase in donations and volunteers for fall 2021, and the piece continues to be shared far and wide.
