Michael Chavez Booth — "MCB" to most — is a communications strategist with more than 15 years shaping narratives where community and creativity meet. As founding partner and Head of Culture at POV Agency, he leads brand storytelling and cultural strategy for organizations and talent that move people, not just products. His work bridges philanthropy, sport, lifestyle, and the arts — helping clients like EmpowHer Institute, NCJW|LA, Portland Community Football Club, and mente build equity-driven campaigns that inspire participation and lasting social impact. His portfolio spans icons such as Jamila Norman, Lil Jon, Jadakiss, and Ice Cube's BIG3, with a focus on stories of community resilience, environmental justice, and cultural pride. Throughout his career, MCB has advanced diversity, equity, and inclusion both in the work and inside the organizations behind it — developing internal programming, resources, and thought leadership that promote belonging and representation. During his tenure as VP at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, he launched the firm's Diversity of Thought staff program. He has also briefly led North American day-to-day operations for The Story Mob, a global gaming and culture agency. Earlier, he supported media strategy for 35+ brand partners with the NBA's Global Partnerships team including several subsidized community initiatives through NBA Cares. A proud SoCal resident with deep ties to the area's creative and civic life, MCB previously taught strategic communications at the University of Southern California and in 2025, he served as executive in residence for Annenberg's Seeing ME in the MEdia. Today, he mentors emerging talent in media, sport, and gaming and volunteers with Foster Love in support of children in foster care. MCB holds an M.A. in Strategic Public Relations from USC and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. At his core, he believes culture is community — and every story worth telling begins there.
