The Disability Allyship Series with Jeremy Andrew Davis

Entered in Disability Awareness, Influencer, Creator & Celebrity

Objective

Launched in May 2024, The Disability Allyship Series with Jeremy Andrew Davis was born from SixDegrees.org’s belief that the most impactful social change happens when the right storytellers are at the center of the narrative. A multi-disabled content creator and advocate, Jeremy Andrew Davis brings lived experience, authenticity, and a deeply informed perspective to conversations too often had about rather than with the disability community.

Through The Disability Allyship Series, SixDegrees.org and Jeremy Andrew Davis co-create bite-sized, accessible, and easy-to-understand educational content that reaches both the disability community and those seeking to be stronger allies. The Disability Allyship Series aims to break down complex topics, from everyday accessibility barriers to the unique experiences of disabled follks, into conversations that can be digested, shared, and acted upon. Taking the form of entertaining and educational videos, content is shared collaboratively across SixDegrees.org’s and Jeremy Andrew Davis' social media platforms, creating a mutually beneficial post and allowing SixDegrees.org and Jeremy Andrew Davis to reach larger audiences.

Our goals are threefold:

  1. Increase awareness of the nuanced challenges faced by people with disabilities.
  2. Educate allies on concrete actions they can take to foster accessibility and inclusion.
  3. Spark intersectional conversations that honor the diversity of disability experiences.

By amplifying Jeremy Andrew Davis' voice and perspective, SixDegrees.org seeks not only to improve understanding of the disability community but also to model how nonprofit-led storytelling can be more ethical, authentic, and impactful when those with lived experience are given the platform they deserve.

Strategy

The Disability Allyship Series with Jeremy Andrew Davis launched in May 2024 with the guiding belief that the most authentic stories about disability come from those living it. At SixDegrees.org, we know creating lasting social change means centering the right storytellers, not speaking for them. Our partnership with Jeremy Andrew Davis, a multi-disabled content creator, advocate, and storyteller, embodies this principle. Jeremy Andrew Davis' content is not only informed by lived experience but also shaped by a deep knowledge of disability history, and his voice ensures the series is rooted in authenticity, nuance, and trust.

From the very beginning, our goal was to co-create something engaging, digestible, and deeply human. Each episode in the series focuses on a specific theme, from understanding ableism to dismantling ableist language to recognizing the positive impact of disabled communities, delivered in a bite-sized, highly shareable format. This accessibility means the series resonates with viewers at every stage of their allyship journey, whether they’re just starting to learn or are looking for ways to deepen their advocacy.

Between May 2024 and August 2025, we’ve co-created 8 episodes. Jeremy Andrew Davis leads with honesty, clarity, and humor, unpacking topics like accessibility, representation, and intersectionality in ways that spark both self-reflection and conversation. Our role at SixDegrees.org is to create the stage, amplify his voice, and strategically deliver the content to audiences far beyond the disability community because allyship grows when awareness spreads.

Each episode is shared on SixDegrees.org's YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, with Jeremy Andrew Davis tagged as a collaborator to extend reach for both of us. Every frame, caption, and call to action is co-developed to balance education for new audiences with respect for the complexity of lived experiences.

Challenges have emerged, particularly the tension between making content approachable without oversimplifying, and resisting the common pitfall of treating disability awareness as a one-time conversation. We address both by ensuring each video is part of an evergreen library that educators, allies, and advocates can return to again and again and by shaping each episode as an open door into deeper learning.

This isn’t just content. It’s a model for authentic representation in digital advocacy. SixDegrees.org's role is to be the amplifier, ensuring Jeremy's expertise reaches millions. The response has been extraordinary: several videos have gone viral across platforms, educators are using them in classrooms and training modules, allies report tangible changes in their language and practices, and members of the disability community affirm that their realities are finally being reflected in a mainstream platform.

By co-creating The Disability Allyship Series, SixDegrees.org and Jeremy Andrew Davis have built more than a campaign. We’ve sparked an ongoing, impactful dialogue that bridges communities and drives real-world change.

Results

The Disability Allyship Series with Jeremy Andrew Davis has far exceeded our original objectives of increasing awareness, sparking inclusive dialogue, educating allies, and reaching new audiences. Across 8 episodes between May 2024 and August 2025, the series has garnered over 2.1 million views and over 53,000 shares, with multiple videos going viral across platforms. These short-form reels became not only the best-performing content in SixDegrees.org’s history but also the most impactful pieces on Jeremy Andrew Davis’s own channels, cementing the power of authentic storytelling driven by lived experience.

The campaign has yielded measurable social media growth: over 3,500 new followers of SixDegrees.org have come directly from this content, and we have received a surge of meaningful comments and reposts from educators, community leaders, and allies eager to engage. The content regularly sparks ongoing conversations about accessibility in workplaces and schools, turning passive viewers into active participants in allyship.

Beyond metrics, the series has acheived cultural and professional recognition, winning two Silver Anthem Awards, which elevated both SixDegrees.org’s and Jeremy Andrew Davis' credibility in the accessibility and allyship space. This recognition not only validates our collaborative approach but has also opened new opportunities for partnership and audience expansion.

While ongoing, we consider this project a resounding success because it repeatedly proves that centering the right storyteller can transform awareness campaigns into movements. The reach is significant, but the deeper victory is fostering a sustained dialogue that continues to educate, challenge, and inspire long after the initial release.
