Judging and Judging Criteria

The Shorty Social Good Awards recognize excellence in the professional social media community. Winners and honorees are selected by members of the Real Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences, a diverse group of luminaries in the internet, advertising, media, and entertainment industries. You may apply to join the Academy here.

All entries will be scored by the judges on these major criteria:

  • Creativity & originality: Unique and innovative execution, quality and originality of the creative, aesthetic impression, and overall original impact of the approach, user engagement and social experience.
  • Effectiveness & impact: Overall effectiveness of the campaign - did it achieve the desired objectives and results (be specific)? What social impact was made as a result of this effort?

Selecting Winners, Honorees and Finalists

Winners, honorees and finalists will be determined by the average score submitted by the jury. Honorees will only be chosen for categories with worthy entries. The jury's decision is final and neither the organizers nor the panel will enter into any correspondence about them.

Finalists will be announced in October. Join our mailing list to stay updated.
