The Baltic Sea has become one of the most prominent flashpoints between powers historically competing for influence there. Russia through its advanced stronghold in the heart of the continent in Kaliningrad Province, and NATO which seeks to turn the Baltic into a closed lake for the alliance. Al Jazeera, sheds light from Kaliningrad on some details of this rivalry that portends an open confrontation across all scenarios.
