According to the New York Times, a few years ago no one would think that ads from Vogue and ads seen in Times Square could be outdone by seemingly “nobodies” in the fashion industry. Today social media has made it possible for any ambitious fashionista to rise to the top and have just as much influence as a magazine.. This Shorty is for those fashion models, designers, style gurus, and bloggers who let everyone know what’s happening in the fashion world via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. This category will have 7 finalists. These include 3 with the most nominations from the public, 3 chosen by the Shorty Awards Nominating Board made up of professional journalists from around the world, and 1 Wildcard Finalist. See our rules page for more info.

Finalists chosen by the nominating board

Three finalists will be selected by members of the Shorty Awards Nominating Board which is comprised of journalists from around the world. One Wildcard Finalist will be selected by the Nominating Board from among the top 25 nominees after the nominating period ends.
