Learn More about Paul Feig

Paul Feig used to be an actor. You may know him as Mr. Pool from Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Stanley from Ski Patrol. He finally wised up and went behind the camera as a writer/director. Paul created the TV series Freaks and Geeks, directed lots of episodes of television including The Office and Arrested Development, and now he directs movies. The last two movies he directed were Bridesmaids and The Heat, which did much better at the box office than the first two movies he directed, I Am David and Unaccompanied Minors. Paul has also published four books, two of them memoirs about all the stupid things he's done in his life. He wears a suit and tie pretty much every day of his life. But please don't hold that against him. He just doesn't look that good in jeans.

How do you or your organization use social media? What makes your use unique?

Paul feels that social media and Twitter in particular are the public version of all the notebooks he used to carry with him and fill with jokes and then misplace. When he lost his joke notebooks, nobody had to hear the jokes written inside them. Now that he can post these jokes directly to Twitter, the entire internet has to put up with them. Paul doesn't necessarily think his jokes are worthy of being read by people on the internet but since he went to the trouble of writing them, he figures someone has to suffer. Outside of his jokes, Paul occasionally promotes things he's working on. Sometimes he promotes too much and people unfollow him. And sometimes he live-tweets events like the Puppy Bowl and the Golden Globes and many more people unfollow him. The internet is a tough place. But Paul loves it.
