Objectives

At Days Inn, we're all about making our time together brighter. We're your cheer captain that encourages families to travel, bond and make great memories. As a family-first brand, we want to make sure we all make the most of our time together, especially when it means spending time with your kids and showing them the importance of letting them follow their dreams whether they want to be the next great explorer or ball player.

Days Inn recently partnered with Fatherly to create a custom video to tell the story of a father and daughter team, as they traveled to baseball tournaments across southern California. Showing us why it's important to let our kid's passion soar and give them the skills (and great memories) needed to be successful when they move on to their next chapter in life.

Strategy and Execution

The video we co-produced with Fatherly shared the journey of Audrey (a seven year old softball all-star) and her dad Andy (the lucky chauffeur, coach and chaperone) as they hit the road fulfilling her passion for playing her favorite sport.

The video was released on Facebook and hit home for families everywhere, striking the feeling of nostalgia for those who had these experiences growing up, as well as camaraderie with those who are currently participating in the adventure of travel sports with their young ones.

An essay was also written to add an additional level of narration to the story, and featured exclusively on Fatherly.com.

So many people were touched and impressed with the content of the story, as represented by the phenomenal comments and engagement we saw while the video was fresh in people's feeds.
