I use it for news. It's nice not having to play oversized origami with the paper anymore.
What's your favorite Twitter app?
I'm old fashioned. I prefer typing in the website on my browser and signing in by candle light. Like I said, I'm old fashioned.
Twitter or Facebook?
Facebook. Because Mark Zuckerberg is holding a gun to my head and somebody, please, help! Help! Also, I like adding commentary to my posts.
What was the funniest trend you've seen?
Can't remember, so I'll just tell you my favorite dessert is a root beer float with whipped cream.
What feature should Twitter add?
The Arena. It would be a community where two people live-tweet a 140-character freestyle battle for the rest of the viewing twittersphere.
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
My little brother. He'd almost always have something interesting to say.

What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
I actually got my current full-time job by meeting the co-founder of my company on Twitter. I'm celebrating two years on Feb 8, 2012.

What inspires you to tweet?
People. I love the idea of making someone smile, think, or plain feel anything. There's power in words, no matter how brief.
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
Nope. But promoting myself for nominations might change that.

Plan as much as possible. Then be reckless as anything.
How long can you go without a tweet?
24 hours. I promised to give new content 5 times a week, monday through friday. So that's the most I can stay away.

You haven't asked why I do what I do. You never asked for the purpose. What drives someone to keep making original content for free?
How do you imagine Twitter changing?
In the future, Twitter will take a more tangible approach, giving us blue robotic birds, a la the owls of Harry Potter, to carry our tweets.

Here's a guy who jumped head first into something he didn't understand and then became an advocate for understanding.
Who is the funniest person on Twitter that you follow?
I don't follow him, but I see retweets from Conan that are always great.

That it was left here for us by aliens. What? You haven't heard that one?
Why should people follow you?
I'll give them something to smile about. Five days a week, anyway. They'll have to figure out Saturday and Sunday on their own.

is one of my favorites. He's just a funny dude and always posting stuff that makes you grin.
How do you decide what to tweet?
If I laugh at it. I mostly just post back to my site. The captions on my illustrations are almost tweets themselves, given their length.
Why'd you start tweeting?
It seemed like a good idea at the time, I swear. Also, I like how it lets me eavesdrop on people and say hello at just the right moment.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
It essentially lead me to the job I have now.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
I would love to see more platform-driven ideas, like the exquisite corpse story of Tim Burton. We need more fun like that.
How will the world change in the next year?

Giving a detailed, flush-by-flush account of your bathroom break. It's called Twitter, not Shitter.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Better, and worse. That's the way it's always been. We advance, but we also advance into new problems we'll have to solve.
