What's your best tweet?
How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
We use Twitter to inform, educate, entertain and assist our customers. Our account adapts to our customers needs and wants.
What's your favorite Twitter app?
HootSuite Pro. All the tools needed for great brand management of a feed.
Twitter or Facebook?
Both. You use different tools for different things. You don't use a fork to eat soup, right? I don't see them at odds with one another.
What was the funniest trend you've seen?
Funniest? I don't know. Most gratifying? Definitely how the whole Internet banded together to crush SOPA.
What feature should Twitter add?
A "Nuke All Spambots" button. I'd also like to see an application process for verifying accounts appear.
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
Any of them. I'll send multiple tweets before I shorten a word or botch the grammar. I was an English major. I can't let it go.
Terms you wish would start trending on Twitter right now?
Obviously,
#TurtleBeach! All kidding aside, we love seeing any gaming-themed trending topics. We're all gamers over here, after all.
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
Connecting with our customers is universally interesting. It's amazing to see how different they all are, and how they're connected.
Hashtag you created that you wish everyone used?
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Figure out that one niche thing you're passionate about. Follow accounts that discuss it. Talk to your friends. Laugh at lolcats.
How long can you go without a tweet?
Not that long. A couple hours maybe?
How do you imagine Twitter changing?
That's really hard to say. I doubt the service itself will change all that much. It's pretty specific. How it's used? Who knows?
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
People thing Twitter has a low signal to noise ratio. That's just false. It's about the accounts you follow.
Why should people follow you?
We share information on our products, talk about gaming and have real discussions with our followers. We are very real.
Why'd you start tweeting?
To provide a real time, transparent way to communicate directly with our fans and customers.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Absolutely. Personally and professionally. It's opened up new doors of communication and connections.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Post thoughts rather than actions. I like to know what people are thinking more than what they're doing.
How will the world change in the next year?
We're getting more connected every day. I think we'll see even more real-time collaboration and cooperation over the Internet.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Ignoring @
mentions and
#FF mentions. Letting DMs go unresponded to for too long. Being boring.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
If Back To The Future is to be trusted, we'll have hoverboards. That's good enough for me.
