What are six things you could never do without?
Coffee, headphones, a good mouse, William Shakespeare, beer and coffee.
How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
Previously, I spearheaded my employer's foray into Twitter support. Nowadays, I'm a booster for my current employer and my theatre company.
What's your favorite Twitter app?
Twitter for iPhone. (Though Twittelator Neue is so pretty.)
Twitter or Facebook?
Both have their place, but there is nothing better than Twitter for immediate and concise sharing of information.
What was the funniest trend you've seen?
What feature should Twitter add?
The ability to temporarily unfollow (or mute) friends.
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
You. And. To. Pretty much any word at all, actually.
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
@neilhimself. We met for tea years ago and I've yet to meet anyone cooler or kinder.
Have you ever unfollowed someone? Who and why?
I will unfollow when your need to distribute dogma overruns your karma.
Why should we vote for you?
If elected, I will rule with kindness and panache. A chicken in every pot ... unless you're a vegetarian. Vegetarians get tofu.
Terms you wish would start trending on Twitter right now?
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
I tweeted to @rosannecash that she was my hero and she replied kindly. Maybe an ephemeral connection, but I enjoyed it.

#LaughingNewt (to accompany the submission-based Tumblr: http://laughingnew...

I worry about spelling and grammar.
What inspires you to tweet?
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
Ever get called out for bringing up a sore subject?
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Remember that the Internet never forgets. Be proud of your opinions, do your research. Never forget: There is a human behind every @ symbol.
How long can you go without a tweet?
At some point, I have to sleep. And sleep-tweeting is just a terrible idea.
What question are we not asking here that we should?
"How long did it take you to _get_ Twitter?"
How do you imagine Twitter changing?
I can see a time when Twitter is means of sharing any and all media, and it will incorporate other check-in functions we find in 4Sq or GG.
Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?
@kaytsukel. Nobody balances their professional life (lives) and personal life better, while making both engaging and incredibly human.
Who is the funniest person on Twitter that you follow?
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
That it is little more than breakfast reports.
Why should people follow you?
Most of the time, I'm interesting. Some days I get lucky and cross over into engaging or charming.
Can you name some one-of-a-kind Twitter accounts that you follow?
@nerdtrivia: An all-day, time-killing trivia contest. @neiltyson: An astrophysicist shares the universe in 140 characters.
How do you decide what to tweet?
If it comes to mind (or crosses my path) and I wonder what others might think or say, I'll share.
Why'd you start tweeting?
I'm a social media addict ... but I can quit anytime.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Yes. Twitter was my route into using social media as an important part of my day-job.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Share the awesome things they think and care about.
How will the world change in the next year?
Many people are going to say a lot of mean things that they'll regret after November.

Answering a DM in public.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Closer than it is now. And faster.
