Sesame Street needs your nomination for a Shorty Award!

We have a lot of great ones, so it’s hard to say, but by far our most important one to date was http://twitter.com... saying simply “Helping Children Understand Natural Disasters http://bit.ly/8OhZ... That link takes us to a post on our Facebook Page which gives parents of children ages zero to six some tips and advice on how to address the images these children are certainly seeing because of the disaster in Haiti.

How about one: hope. Sesame Workshop – the nonprofit behind Sesame Street and a whole lot more – is dedicated toward making a meaningful difference in the lives of children worldwide by addressing their critical developmental needs. We strive to give children a better life than they would have had otherwise.

Like other forms of media, we use Twitter to entertain – and educate.

Both. We want to reach children – through their parents, in this case – anywhere and everywhere.
