What's your best tweet?
The one that touched a heart.
What are six things you could never do without?
Faith, hope, love, charity, the laughter of children. I could live without diabetes.
How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
To connect with other people living with diabetes - to find out what they are doing and let them know what we are doing.
What's your favorite Twitter app?
Just as I tell my children ... I love them all equally.
Twitter or Facebook?
Twitter!
What was the funniest trend you've seen?
Celebrities - I just do not get it. Parents who get up at 2 a.m. every night to make sure their child is not in a coma are the real heroes.
What feature should Twitter add?
More sophisticated user interface. Your users are smarter and more creative than Twitter let's them be!
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
Not sure.
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
Diabetes. Nothing "little" about it.
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
The big diabetes goods manufacturers - so they can understand what it is like for people who cannot afford medications and diabetes supplies
Have you ever unfollowed someone? Who and why?
Why should we vote for you?
iPump has helped more than 20,000 people with diabetes since 2006. We have no paid staff - but we have diabetes and a passion for others.
Terms you wish would start trending on Twitter right now?
Anything to do with diabetes cures, social awareness, causes, and chocolate.
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
News media and a famous rock star (we won't name drop.)
Hashtag you created that you wish everyone used?
Sorry, we are so busy helping people in need we have not had time to create new tags. We use the diabetes gold standards!
How do you make your tweets unique?
They are sent with love.
What inspires you to tweet?
Hoping to reach one more person who needs to know someone cares.
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Use Twitter to connect with others and build communities and conversation.
How long can you go without a tweet?
Until the next tweet...
What question are we not asking here that we should?
Paper or plastic?
Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?
Manny Herndandez, @tudiabetes. He freely shares his knowledge with anyone who asks.
Why'd you start tweeting?
Honestly, because someone challenged me to.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
It has helped us stay better connected with those we help - and with those who help us.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Keep their accounts active. Too many abandon Twitter before they fully understand the benefits of Twitter.
How will the world change in the next year?
The economy will improve, but the damage done to people who lost insurance and could not afford insulin & supplies will remain much longer.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Only sending out information Tweets and failing to listen to others.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Hopefully, diabetes-free. We pray for a cure ... soon!
