Because although I use Twitter to promote my work, I also use it to give back and raise awareness for causes that mean something.

I've met so many people I wouldn't normally have met, whom I now count on as some of my closest friends.

#TeamGUY -- I'll be lobbying the PM next year to put pressure on the media to write more content on World AIDS Day. This is the hashtag.

I bring my own personality and humour to them

My followers! I feel a responsibility to deliver blogs to my fans and to educate and inspire people on AIDS awareness

Be interesting and funny. Ask questions, share useful content, provoke discussion and above all, don't try to hard.
How long can you go without a tweet?
The longest I've gone is a week, but I was on holiday and had no signal. My fingernails suffered big time.

I think it will grow and grow, it's fast becoming the tool by which the public and the media tap into the zeitgeist.

Why should people follow you?
Because I try to write tweets and blogs that resonate with people and make them laugh. Failing that, I'm pretty.

If I know it will make people laugh, or provoke discussion, then usually it gets tweeted. I also use it to vent!

I was bored of Facebook -- JOKE! -- No, I was starting a blog and was told it was a good way to get my content out there.

Absolutely! I've got blog followers, a media profile and I've made loads if new friends. I find it very affirming
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Use it to do good instead of disparage people from behind the safety of a computer screen.
How will the world change in the next year?
It'll be a year older, and a year more polluted.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Sharing photos of your genitals. Seriously, I don't want to see that while I eat my morning cornflakes!
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
I think people will interact physically less and less. Friendships will be conducted more online rather than in close physical proximity.
