My mom; great sense of humor and a super-fast typist. Sadly, she's been gone for 14 years, so might be tough even for Twitter to reach her.

Exciting science news, discoveries, beautiful photographs, strange birds, weird thoughts and comments from my odd friends.

That depends whether or not I'm on a meteorite expedition in the screaming wilderness at the time.

More users, more hashtags, increased design options. It's great already, but I imagine they'll still invent more #GoodiesForTweeps

How do you use social media to motivate yourself or others to live a healthier life?
For me, living a healthy life means blathering on about science. So, that part is easy, I just do extra blathering on Twitter.

I'm the only person in my family who tweets, plus we live thousands of miles apart for a reason #NotApplicable

Former publicist said: "I've heard of a new social media thing called Twitter." I said: "Not ANOTHER one?" but soon knew it was for me!
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Most definitely! Twitter has led to a feature film role, interviews with top radio shows and publications, and actual real, new friends.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
I love a good contest with weird and unusual giveaways; you really can't have too many contests.
How will the world change in the next year?
@SeaShepherd ends commercial whaling; @thenasaman starts new space program; @LucasTurnbloom dazzles planet with graphic novel
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Bad language, TrueTwit "verification," arguments with tweeps who have different viewpoints, advertising your work via direct messages
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Very crowded but with excellent tech gear and a thriving private sector space program. Also, a new kind of calorie-free pizza. Yay!
