What's your best tweet?
I will change the world if I am called to do so, until then, I will not live with the illusion of being able to do so.
What are six things you could never do without?
Painting, Coffee, Ice Hockey, Photography, Family and Conversation.
How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
I share the painting process behind each picture I create, on-location and from the studio.
What's your favorite Twitter app?
Tweetdeck for the iPhone.
Twitter or Facebook?
Facebook looks like Twitter, LinkedIN looks like like Facebook… Dick Sargent, Dick York, Sargent York?
What was the funniest trend you've seen?
I am not one for trends.
What feature should Twitter add?
A more logical way to view, sort, group and utilize friend lists - both your own, and others.
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
The real Christopher Walken.
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
Coherent Twittering is next to godliness, LOL, 4 sho, OMG my fave, like totes.
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
Anyone with deep pockets and an appreciation for purchasing my paintings. Also, Steve Buscemi.
Have you ever unfollowed someone? Who and why?
Yes, plenty of people, because they are mundane, post too frequently or infrequently... I don't kiss and tell.
Why should we vote for you?
Because you genuinely feel my efforts on Twitter bring added value to the arts; or, you simply like my hat.
Terms you wish would start trending on Twitter right now?
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
Connected with the partner for the ad agency SS+K, who let me paint the Brooklyn Bridge view from their downtown office.
Hashtag you created that you wish everyone used?
#BuyaBorbayOriginalPaintingBeforeTheyAreTooExpensiveEvenForBradPitt
How do you make your tweets unique?
Convey my true self while sharing the artistic process real-time from around the world.
What inspires you to tweet?
My desire to learn and meet others who can unknowingly change my perception in 140 characters or less; and share my work.
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
I did, on a Follow Friday, and after that, I have greatly rationed my Tweet pace.
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Listen, observe, follow, identify your voice, add a picture, bring added value, interact, conduct a conversation, repeat.
How long can you go without a tweet?
If you are counting the minutes, hours and/or days between Tweets, consult a physician.
Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?
My beautiful girlfriend, @NYAcupuncture - she is bravely conquering a new frontier to promote her acupuncture practice.
Why'd you start tweeting?
To create awareness about my art - my efforts officially beginning on July 2nd, 2009, the day I left my ad agency job.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
It has, by connecting me with people I would have never otherwise met, and getting to know them on a daily basis.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Strike a balance between insight, conversation and original content - almost everyone hangs to the left or the right.
How will the world change in the next year?
It will become 365 days older, again. Celebrity worship will fade slightly, wars will continue & "global warming" exposed as ponzi scheme.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Talking, not listening. Failure to interact, play nice. Calling oneself a social media guru. Projecting a used-car-salesman persona.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Digital, more shiny, recovering from some horrific event, no flying cars, not too different than it is today.
