What's your best tweet?
"I love rainbow cookies so much I hold one with both hands and nibble on it like a hamster."
What are six things you could never do without?
I'm fond of Google, my mom, @multisync, AMEX customer service, rainbow cookies, retweets.
Twitter or Facebook?
Twitter. Opening Twitter is like entering a bar at happy hour; Facebook is a private party for people from high school.
What feature should Twitter add?
An action button, like "wink" or "prod". Maybe a tweet rating system!
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
I wish more restaurants would create and maintain Twitter accounts.
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
I'd rather cut the tweet down til it makes no sense before saying thx pls.
Why should we vote for you?
I can barely tell salt from sugar but I try & try while chronicling my missteps. I use Twitter to share, listen & show it's OK to err!
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
I received a direct tweet of encouragement from @GaelGreene to volunteer for her nonprofit, @Citymeals, so I do!
How do you make your tweets unique?
I mix restaurant recommendations with links to my writing, snack videos, local NYC food events, photos of cupcakes.
What inspires you to tweet?
Knowing I can make someone laugh (or bang his head against the wall) when I confuse tomato and pizza sauce.
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Be yourself. And an uncreepy picture of your face goes a long way.
How long can you go without a tweet?
Eight hours! I don't tweet in my sleep.
What question are we not asking here that we should?
Are there others who tweet from your Twitter account? Why do you refer to yourself in the third person?
Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?
Restaurants like @MermaidInnNYC, which enthusiastically uses Twitter to interact with customers, share specials, "shoot the shit".
Why'd you start tweeting?
To hunt down others who share my love for everything food.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
I would've been blissfully unaware of everyone's food blog if I hadn't found them all on Twitter.
How will the world change in the next year?
Twitter won't terrify those who work outside of the communication industry.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Preaching, pretentiousness, saying you're a social media guru, inflating follower numbers with follower number inflating programs.
