Twitter is a HUGE part of my professional life. Although storm chasing is a 'hobby', still have to put on that professional face.

With so many followers, you tend to see some that just don't fit the mold of what you want to see daily. So they have to go. :)

I use Twitter, and other forms of social media to assist the public in severe weather. Accurate and dependable. Over 7000 followers.

Folks from Europe who provide weather updates from places such as Germany and France. Interesting stuff.

In weather, EACH tweet is unique.
What inspires you to tweet?
Social media impacts public safety immensely. On April 27, 2011, it played a big part in saving lives here in Alabama.

Not really.

Be accurate and timely. Many people could be counting on your words. And always..ALWAYS have your facts straight.

I think it's fine as it is.
Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?
ABC 33/40 meteorologist @spann in Birmingham AL. EXCELLENT use of resources. Grew up watching him.
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
That it is UN-useful. It's useful if the user MAKES it a worthwhile experience.
Why should people follow you?
I'm straightforward, honest, timely and knowledgeable about what I do. I only report the facts. Plus, I play a mean Wii. :)
How do you decide what to tweet?
I try to be precise, accurate, punctual and unalarming when tweeting facts about severe weather. Fact checking is a big thing.
Why'd you start tweeting?
To provide the public with weather updates.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Yes. It's made my ability to help others, and get information regarding weather MUCH easier and timely. Hard to imagine life without it.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Learn a little spelling for God's sake!
How will the world change in the next year?
Unfortunately, it'll probably only get worse.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
One big social scene. Filled with tweets from every corner of the earth.
