We tweet traditional news stories in an non-traditional way, making them sometimes funny, sometimes off-beat, but always personable.
What inspires you to tweet?
Interesting news that I think others would like to know about. That and the chance to meet Alyssa Milano thru this contest.

Understand Twitter before you dive in. You may THINK you'll get followers to get onboard w/ your program, but opposite is more likely.
How long can you go without a tweet?
2 weeks but that's all the vacation time i get. otherwise, i try to space them 30m apart.

Shouldn't I get a raise for all the great work I do on Twitter? (yes)
How do you imagine Twitter changing?
It will morph into carrying more info w/o losing its brevity. Pop-out screens for video, side tweets, etc. off 1-2 character hot links.

That serious-minded people can't stay informed 140 characters at a time.
Why should people follow you?
Because we offer news that's relevant to their lives, but in an entertaining way. Sorta like wrapping your dog's meds in a slice of cheese.

Must be relevant to people's lives: will news impact them directly/immediately? Bar is higher for govt. meetings/court rulings/etc.
Why'd you start tweeting?
I was ordered to by my sadistic boss. Argued with him for 140 minutes about it. How ironic is that?

Yes. It's allowed me to kill way more time at work.

We're in the news biz, and in competitive breaking news situations we tweeted facts that turned out to be... well, unfactual.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Much like it is today, with the exception of the giant, mutated ferrets that will be wrecking havoc across southern Greenland.
