If the advice of others should be taken with a grain of salt, you should probably get some potato chips for ours.

A few days, but I think the question should be: "How long SHOULD you go without a tweet?"
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
The idea that there is no greater hive of scum and villainy than Twitter. We've been there, and it's called MySpace.
Why'd you start tweeting?
To promote our music, our fellow steampunks, and steampunk culture in general. Also, we were promised cake. #thecakeisalie

It certainly has. We're reaching a new audience and communicating with great people who call Twitter their home.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Accepting tweets as gospel. It's easy to be misled when your source is 140 characters or less.
