How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
Twitter is how we stay connected with our campus community, and its a fast way for students to alert us to issues/tidbits, etc.

Instagram! It's very popular on campus and is a great way to show alumni what Union looks like today.
What feature should Twitter add?
Sometimes we really wish tweets could be longer! It's hard to get out important news in 140 characters or less!
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
It would be cool to get more national education bloggers following us b/c we are doing fun things that they could pull news from.

What inspires you to tweet?
Everything! Our awesome students, our crazy sports fans, even just a really pretty picture. We have it all our on Twitter.
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Interact, interact, interact. Be a part of the community and start conversations. Don't just react to what others are saying.
How long can you go without a tweet?
Eh, maybe an hour?
What question are we not asking here that we should?
Just because we're old (est. in 1795) doesn't make us grumpy. We have fun tweets that really interact with our students.
How do you imagine Twitter changing?
It's ever-evolving. We love the new format (with photo viewing embedded in the timeline).
Who is the funniest person on Twitter that you follow?
We like @rejectedjokes (Ben Schwartz from Parks and Rec/House of Lies). He's an alum and a darn funny one.
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
That its shallow or not very well thought out. You can pack a lot of punch in 140 characters.
Why should people follow you?
It's a great place for the Union community to stay connected and get excited about all things Union!

How do you decide what to tweet?
Important news, fun photos, interacting with alums and students. We do a lot of everything.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Twitter tirades! Don't be negative. Always stay positive. People don't want to read negativity. We like to put out positive thoughts.
