THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world! It’s a year-long effort that raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. The year culminates in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon affectionately know as THON. The money raised benefits The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hersey Medical Center. The Fund helps to offset medical costs not covered by insurance for ANY child diagnosed with cancer at Hershey. Whether it's an MRI, meal tickets, music therapy, or a child life specialists, The Fund provides for the children and families anyway that it can.
