Twitter is my number 1 platform for communication. I tell folks on my phone message to plz tweet to me and I will respond.

JustUnfollow.com it rocks.

I like them both, that is sort of like asking Salt or Pepper... So different.

What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
I won't shorten #cinderblocks or #TheWalkingGallery. Activism is not easy. If you can't tweet a long hashtag you may not be cut out for this.
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
Not really, everything happens in its own time.
Have you ever unfollowed someone? Who and why?
I unfollow folks who curse often, are spam-bots or don't tweet for 6 months.

I think twitter can hold your hand as your husband dies; it can fly above and connect us to one another and thereby change the world.

@boltyboy, just like me he often suffers from filter failure ;) with hilarious results.
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
It is fluffy. It is not fluffy; Twitter is life and death.
Why should people follow you?
If people are interested in the intersection of patient rights, data access, art, storytelling and pop-culture, I am probably a good choice.

How do you decide what to tweet?
I live-tweet frequently at conference as I feel it is my duty to spread the word to all of those who wish to be there but cannot.
How do you use social media to motivate yourself or others to live a healthier life?
We watch out for each other. That means so much.

We know that the work that we do in social media is helping others.

My husband was dying.

Yes, I owe so much to the friends I have made on twitter. I would be so alone without them.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Talk to each other, rather than just push content.
How will the world change in the next year?
We will see more disruption in healthcare through third party apps and pushy artists.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
As I said, I have filter failure so I am not usually aware of a faux pas.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
A lot less cluttered, my smart phone is my paper, my clock, my radio, my calulator....
